Put the ice cream bowl in the dishwasher

I put the part of the ice cream maker in our dishwasher. This is the part of the machine that you put in the freezer, that is where you pour in all the ingredients and rotates as the ice cream is made...I saw where you shouldn't expose it to heat or the dishwasher. Is it completely ruined now?

Put the ice cream bowl in the dishwasher

The only way to tell is by putting it in the freezer for 24 hours, and then trying to make a batch of ice cream. If it doesn't freeze or make the ice cream properly, then you will need to get a replacement bowl from Cuisinart - they are available. -Tha Mp3 Doctor

I have the automatic frozen yogurt-ice cream & sorbet maker ICE-20 series made bby CUISINART. The first few times the icecream came out perfect & great. I made ice cream yesterday and it was soupy. I put it in freezer and now it is icy and not smooth like ice cream should be. What is going on? I had the freezer bowl in the freezer for 19 hours before making the ice cream. Please, can you help me. Mary Crone - [email protected]

I would actually let the freezer bowl thaw out on a level surface. Then place perfectly level back in the freezer for 24 hours. Should work again. Enjoy! -Tha Mp3 Doctor

Tank won't freeze

The keys are to make sure the freezer is cold enough, and to make sure the bowl is level when it is sitting in the freezer. 24 hours is usually required, despite what manual says. If all else fails, the freezer bowls are replaceable - you can order them from Cuisinart - if you are in-warranty, they may even be able to give it to you for free. -tha Mp3 Doctor

Cuisinart Ice Cream Freezer Bowls Not Freezing Anymore

I would take the freezer bowls out of the freezer, run them both under the sink to thaw both bowls out, dry both bowls thoroughly, and then set them both on the counter so that the liquid settles toward the bottom of the freezer bowls. After 1 hour, place the bowls FLAT back into the freezer - don't forget to wrap them in a plastic grocery bag or some other sort of plastic bag. Try to make ice cream again after 24 hours or more of freezing. Let me know if this works, so I can pass the good news along to others.

Over freezing ice cream....

Any water is going to solidify the mixture. Make sure you use heavy whipping cream, and not half-and-half or some other substitute. As far as the mixture freezing onto freezer bowl - use the supplied spatula to try to scrape it off, but I generally have to count that portion out as lost. Running warm water over it will quickly wash it off. Happy mixing! -Tha Mp3 Doctor
